Being able to dialogue on difficult issues with people holding conflicting opinions and ideas can be daunting. As people of faith, we are called to develop and practice those skills. At the Hot Topics program you'll learn to apply the use of nonviolent communication and facilitation skills along with Franciscan values as you tackle difficult, but critical issues such as those listed above.

Hot Topics is an ongoing series that takes place twice a year. If you have a topic that you would like to recommend for discussion, send your topic suggestion to: or call Bonnie, 480.948.7460, ext. 155.

Some possible topics for future sessions:

• Death penalty

• Economics

• Homelessness

• Hate Crimes/Tolerance

• Senior Care/Health
