Rev. Marvin Brown
Peace Walk and Mindfulness Meditation
There is no physical walking involved.
Rev. Marvin Brown

Rev. Marvin Brown will share his thoughts and experience about nonviolence and peace from the Buddhist tradition. A part of the Season for Nonviolence is to explore a variety of peace and nonviolence practices—especially to see what other faiths can teach us about peace.

Mindfulness is the ability to be truly in the Present Moment and in the Present Moment we learn that we have choices. One of the choices that we have is how we act when we are upset. During the Peace Walk, which is an individual journey to find peace in oneself, we will learn to “walk” with our conflicts instead of speaking or acting in a less than kind way. Lunch will be the practice of Eating Mindfully.

*There is no actual physical walking involved.
